Liu He Ba Fa (Water Boxing)

Dear Internal Arts Enthusiast,

Starting Jan 23 & 24, 2010, I will offer the first installment (of three) of the rare Liu He Ba Fa form. No matter what other experience you have at martial arts - internal or external - the Liu He Ba Fa set is guaranteed to raise your skill to much higher level.

Liu He Ba Fa is also known in Chinese lore as Water Boxing, in part due its hybrid nature, derived as it is in its parts from Tai Chi (water), Hsing Yi (ice) & Ba Gua (mist), and also due to the way the form is practiced: like a bubbling brook, sometimes slow, deep and meandering, other times rapid and coursing, even violent, but always fluid. ‘Ba Fa’, as it is popularly referred to, makes for a very exciting practice, similar in some regards to each of its antecedent systems, and yet distinct and challenging in its own right. I regard the Liu He Ba Fa as a must-learn practice for any serious internal or external martial artist. The form is comparable in length to a long Tai Chi set, and is divided into four sections, with a clear delineation at the halfway point.

Not only will the Liu He Ba Fa set make for a wonderful rare addition to your internal arts base of knowledge, but I can assure you from experience that your acquisition of this internal system will elevate all your other practices as well to a higher level, especially in regards to your power of intention.

At this time applicants can commit themselves to the first installment of this 3-part (Pt 1, Pt 2, Pts 3 & 4) course of study with a deposit of $50 (or payment in full). Costs will be $350 for each of the first two installments (you can save $50 on your first installment by prepaying in full by 1/10/10). For those of you traveling from afar room & board arrangements will be available on a first come first serve basis at $50/nght. Please confirm at your earliest opportunity that you would like to be a part of this learning series.

Best regards,
Sifu John Loupos
